The buckle is adorned with foliate chased detailing, creating a border where a smooth band is set with two old cut diamonds. With clear English hallmarks for the year 1902 from the Chester assay office. Buckles have been a popular symbol for hundreds of years, representing eternity, fidelity, strength and protection- creating an eternal loop as it threads back into itself
